For this card, Nicole used strips of Highline vellum tape stickers and and stitched them together to create a quilted effect.

We love the way the machine stitching paired with the transparent stickers creates multimedia perfection!

By placing various letter stickers + phrases on top of a chalkboard wood tag, Nicole has taken her card to the next level…literally!

For this layout, Nicole used a handful of Highline patterned papers, Snippets, chalkboard wood tags, title stickers, and alpha stickers to create a patchwork-inspired masterpiece.

Layering is one of the best ways to create visual and physical texture on any project.

So many fun details to discover!

This layout is one of those that you have to look at several times before you can really see all the details! We love the way Nicole mixed patterned papers with smaller embellishments to create such a stunning project!

Her hot pink die cut title stands out prominently amidst the mix of the papers thanks to it’s large scale and dimensional backing.

Brads, wood veneers, and chalkboard tags…gorgeous!

2. Flip the 1.75″ pieces upside down and add dimensional adhesive to the back center of the shape, leaving 0.75″ around edge to allow for stitching.

Kelly Goree: My boys are growing up way to fast for me and so I try not to take it for granted when they still want to spend time for me. My youngest is the sweetest about it (of course) and he especially loves baking with me – and I try to ignore that it’s not all me but that he gets to lick the beaters when we’re done!

Valentine’s Day was school let out early (yet again) for snow. He was bummed that his school party got cut short so we made these fun cupcakes to cheer him up.

The Highline collection was such a fun choice for this photo – the bright colors and whimsical feel of the patterned papers and unique embellishments like the wood chalkboard shapes just set off the Valentine’s Day theme.

Kim Price: I just love the vibrant colors in the new Highline collection, and I have used this as my main influence when creating my layout. I’ve customized my cardstock base with an inky background in vivid yellows and orange inks and then began adding textured layers behind the photograph of my daughter. To create this look I’ve simply used an atomizer to apply the color, then added water allowing the inks to pool and blend and form patterns. I sped up the drying process using a heat tool.

After my background was thoroughly dried, I began adding textured layers of patterned papers behind the photograph of my daughter. For my layout title I have taken a sentiment “shine bright” from the coordinating Snippets pad, placing it on top of the layers next to my photograph and added a tiny wood die cut star.

On the opposite side, I’ve used a few of the acetate shapes found in the die-cuts & transparencies pack, tucking them under and around my photo for a fun layered look. Don’t you just love that gorgeous little watercolored heart shape?
