Shellye is our resident home décor go-to girl and her creativity knows no boundaries when it comes to creating something to grace your home. When we released Dear Heart, she made this absolutely gorgeous hanging mussie tussie cone. Rather than putting it into our catalog, we decided to save this yummy eye candy just for you! And to sweeten the deal, Shellye has written instructions on how you can recreate this beautiful woven floral piece for your home, too! CLICK HERE to download the free instruction sheet.

Bunny, please email allison@basicgrey.com with your name and shipping info and we’ll get the CP sent off to you the moment it hits the warehouse! Thank you to everyone who posted comments for this give-away. It looks like a lot of hubbies, kids and BFF’s will be receiving handmade Valentines this year. :) Spread the love and be sure to use the brand new Dear Heart collection on your love cards this year — it’s scrapper tested and Cupid approved!

I came across some really fun images on Pinterest that made me think of BasicGrey’s new Dear Heart collection, and I couldn’t resist incorporating the inspiration into my layout! Here are the two images I discovered:

Inspiration images make a great jumping off point for just about any kind of project. I wanted to keep things simple, so I went with a straight-forward approach on my page.

Must be Love

Using my Silhouette die cutter, I cut out hearts similar to the one on the glass jars, layering the squares in a grid pattern on my page.

From there, I die cut a title from a textured red paper found in the Best of BasicGrey paper pad, cutting it twice and layering the two titles together with dimensional foam adhesive. From the cupcake photo, I recreated a little arrow and added it below my title. For some added dimension, I attached the heart portion of the arrow with a pop dot.
