Happy Monday! I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday weekend! Today I am here to share another installment of What a Week. This time, my whole focus was to maximize the amount of photos I could include within two spreads. Luckily, the solid and divided page protectors make it a snap! Here’s how it all turned out:
Spread No. One
Although my focus for the week was to incorporate as many photos as possible, I still wanted to include a mini layout that would set the tone for the pages to follow AND allow me to play with all my fun Carte Postale and Capture embellishments ;) For this layout, I used a full-size page protector, ledger paper, label stickers, die-cuts, and a Carte Postale chipboard circle frame that helped to break up all of the rectangular elements.
For this page, I used all Carte Postale products to dress up the two 4 x 6″ pockets and one 1.25 x 6″ pocket. These supplies include vellum tape strips, a “Let’s Go” sticker, and a sheet of 6 x 6 patterned paper that I cut to 2.5 x 6″ and folded in half so it would be the same design for both sides of the page protector. A quick tip: I often adhere the two photos / papers that will be tucked into the same pocket together so that they do not move around and change the overall design.
Spread No. Two
Once again, I kept the overall design of the page protector fairly simple so I could let my photos do the talking. That being said, I can never resist a little embellishing, so I added a chevron acetate die-cut, a date sticker, and a Carte Postale metal flair badge to the top of the page protector.
Of all the divided page protector styles, the 3 x 3″ pockets are totally my favorite. They are especially handy for showcasing my square Instagram photos…win win! This final page includes a sticky note, Carte Postale brads (with the prongs cut off so I wouldn’t have to pierce through the page protector), an arrow sticker, and a strip of vellum tape.
Even though this spread was twice as big as my usual What a Week installments, it took half the time to complete! If you’re looking for minimal fuss with maximum photos (and really, who isn’t?), divided page protectors are the way to go, my friends! :)
