Weekly Challenge : Create A Hybrid Project

THIS WEEK’S CHALLENGE : Create a hybrid project.  A few paper elements + a few computer elements = hybrid.

This week, I’ve asked BasicGrey digital design team member Ann Costen to participate in our challenge.

The Big One | Ann Costen

SUPPLIES : [Sweet Threads] SWT-D870 Digital Starter Kit, [Marrakech] C-MAR-1581 Collection Pack, [Boxer] BOX-1178 Commando,  [Mellow] MEL-902 Alphabet Stickers.

Ann says, “The one thing I love most about hybrid scrapbooking is the ability to print off as many elements as I want for my layout, in just the right size! For this layout, I printed the flowers (resized so one is larger than the other), the journaling block, the leaves, and the “Love This” tag. I originally printed them on white paper but then decided that kraft paper would work better…another advantage of printing elements at home! I mixed and matched several lines in this layout and made it work by choosing papers/elements that matched my colour scheme (burnt orange and green).”
We can’t wait to see what you create for this week’s challenge! Leave a comment below with a link to your project and we’ll select one commenter at random to receive a collection pack of your choice. Comment must be posted by October 20, 2011 at 11:59p MST.
If you upload your layout to your blog or online gallery, be sure to also upload it to our new BasicGrey Flickr page so that other BG fans can find your work easily.

CONGRATULATIONS to our winner selected at random from the comments we received by the noted deadline :
