Sew What : Aspen Frost Pajamas

BasicGrey Sew What

Christmas may be long gone but spring isn’t quite here either so snowmen are fair game!  I created this sweet set of pjs for my three year old using the new Aspen Frost fabric line.

A size 3/4T pair of pajama bottoms requires 1 1/2 yards of the main fabric and 1/4 yard of the fabric used for the ruffle.  I show you how you can drafting your own pattern for pajama bottoms from your favorite pair.  I also show how you can add the cute little ruffles, just because slippers look so darn cute peeking out from under them!

I added a coordinating snowman appliqué to a plain t-shirt to complete the set.  I used scraps of Aspen Frost and the Sizzix Let It Snow die set by BasicGrey to create the appliqué.

I hope this project inspires you to pull out your sewing machine and stitch up a set!  My little one was thrilled to run up to bed in these new “jammas” as she calls them.
