Happy New Year! This is Jana Eubank. I am in love with the sweet and soft color palette of the True Love collection. The pinks are especially soft and pretty and compliment skin tones perfectly!
When I begin a page I like to layer several patterned papers together and typically work from my photos backward. I place my photos on several patterns and decide which ones look best. From there, I start layering them together. This time around, I LOVED the background Smitten paper and decided to use the entire sheet and place my photo directly on the paper. The floral and heart elements frame the photo wonderfully!
The next paper I fell in love with was the Vintage Love Paper. I just HAD to cut out one of those large hearts! I placed it next to my photo offsetting it slightly above the top edge.
Next, I built the layers down underneath the heart. I found a large journal block from the Snippets paper pad and adhered it flush with the right and bottom edges of my photo.
I wanted to bring the blue color from the heart down towards the bottom of the page. I tore the edge of a 2″ strip of Little Things paper and tucked it underneath the bottom edges of the photo and journal block. This strip anchors my design nicely.
The top of my page felt like it needed a little more … so I layered together a few more blue-toned Snippets to the top left corner.
For another layer on the bottom of the page, I added the super cute book paper heart garland. LOOOOVE that garland! Sooo sweet!
Then it was time to add my title. I used a few Chipboard Shapes combined with die cut words to create my title.
Next, I added chipboard heart buttons to the Snippets in the top left corner and accented the title with a round chip button and tiny chipboard hearts.
My page is almost complete! I layered together three chipboard arrows to round everything out.
I think this is a beautifully soft and feminine layout. I love the added large heart!
I really love this layout!
