Basic Card Sketch : 11.19.12

This week’s sketch from BasicGrey sketch artist Susan Stringfellow was created specifically for all of our cardmaking friends.  Don’t make cards?  No problem!  Feel free to use the sketch to create a layout, altered project, or whatever else you’d like.

BasicGrey card designer Kathy Racoosin used this week’s sketch to create this amazing holiday themed card.  Kathy notes, “Using a sketch is always a great jump start for me even though my card might be missing some of the sketch’s elements. I decided to use the papers from the 6×6 Aspen Frost collection because it works beautifully with the Serendade 6×6 collection. This is the first time I used the garland and I can’t wait to make some Christmas tags with the beautiful paper mix on the garland. I was pleasantly surprised when I discovered that it had a patterned side and a more of a solid/ stripe mix on the back. The Alphabet stickers from the Serendade collection fit perfectly onto the garland on my card. (I used the INSIDE of the “O” so it would fit on the smaller circle) I added a little distress ink and pop dots to make my sentiment strip of garland stand out.”

Now it’s your turn! We’d love to see what you create from this week’s sketch. Leave a comment below with a link to your project and we’ll select one comment at random to receive a $10 credit to shop at basicgrey.com. Comment must be posted by November 25, 2012 at 11:59p MST.

If you upload your layout to your blog or online gallery, we hope you’ll also upload it to our BasicGrey flickr pool and note what products you’ve used so that other BG fans can find inspiration from your work easily.

  1. It neither starts nor ends, though, with spending thrice the
average person. If there’s an item you aren’t in a hurry
to purchase, monitor the cash back percentage to get the most bang for your
buck. You may not realise it but what we consider outlet shopping in Australia is different to outlet shopping in the US.

  2. Some of Just Pearlz’ more notable clients include Dr. According to the original creators of the yagi-uda antenna, the boom should
measure approximately 0. We excel in customer service and ensure we
    treat each customer with priority.

  3. If you’re thinking of purchasing a new Android device or perhaps already
have an Android-based phone or other device, then there’s no question that you should be researching the best
phone warranty or tablet warranty plans so you can protect yourself from big unexpected expenses as
much as possible. In the pepper mill world one can easily part with two to three hundred dollars for one or
four to six hundred dollars if the purchase is for a set
which generally includes a pepper mill and a salt mill.
5″ AMOLED capacitive screen aiding touch to zoom, social networking integration, an 8 megapixel full focus camera with dual LED flash, a front-facing camera, 720p HD video capture and playback, On Demand Web TV, and GPS you can create, discover, and show a world of creativity.

  4. Many major retailers like Nordstrom, Ross-Simmons,
Brooks Brothers, Chadwicks, and many other jewelry stores offer cash back on e
    - Bates as well as many other stores that cater
to an entirely different crowd of shoppers. While Target has
to compete with large and small competitors for business, it has prevailed as a market
leader in this space with thousands of stores across
the country. “Bank of America has introduced ‘soft authorizations’ that do not immediately impact your available balance,” Bryant
    says.
