August 2012 : flickr Friends Reveal

Here we are on the last day of August which means we have another round of flickr Friends to reveal!

Each month, we provide a theme for you to use on your projects and then upload to our flickr pool. At the end of each month, we select a few of our favorites to post here on our blog and send them some BasjcGrey goodies as our way of saying thanks.

The theme for this month was “typography”.  Our newly released Clippings collection contains several great examples of type used creatively – we hope it provided some inspiration for your projects this month!

Without further ado, some of our favorites from our flickr pool using this month’s theme :

Using stickers as a mask for mist or paint?  Awesome idea!  Perfect for when you don’t have all of the letters needed for a title and you can mix and match to get a perfect end result.

A perfectly pulled together layout where the focus remains on the photo, even with all of the typographical items used from our Clippings collection.

sand and surf We loved the graphic nature of this layout that she created by housing photos within her title.

A BIG thank you to all of you who uploaded your projects – we love being able to feature your work here on the BG blog.  Winners keep an eye on your flickr mail as we’ll be in touch shortly to arrange your prizes.  Look for September’s theme to be posted next week!

  1. The sand and Surf layout is awesome! I love the excellent cropping of the photos to fit the words perfectly. The whole page is balanced and beautifully put together. Great Job!

  2. Resources like the one you talk about here will be very useful to me! I will post a link to this page on my blog. I am sure my guests will find that very helpful. This is a actually good blog post and it gives a great way to know the objects which is required to know. Wish your more remarkable posts.

  3. Hello! I know this is kinda off topic however , I’d figured I’d ask.

Would you be interested in exchanging links or maybe guest authoring a blog article
or vice-versa? My website addresses a lot of the same topics as
yours and I believe we could greatly benefit from each other.
If you might be interested feel free to shoot me an email.
I look forward to hearing from you! Superb blog by the way!
