Two page layout fans, rejoice! This week’s sketch sketch from BasicGrey sketch artist Susan Stringfellow is designed as a two page layout utilizing four photos. Feel free to use this sketch as is or simply use half of the sketch for a single page layout – or whatever you wish! – the possibilities are endless!
Graduation | Yohko Takiguchi
BasicGrey design team member Yohko Takiguchi used this week’s sketch to document her son’s graduation. I love how she used a non-traditional color scheme for this topic! Yohko explains, “The photos used on this layout were taken at my son’s elementary school graduation ceremony. I chose Plumeria collection, which matches with the formal ceremony. Instead of using three banners, I placed three lines consisted of many small flowers.”
San Francisco | Nancy Burke
BG design team member Nancy Burke also used this weeks sketch and chose to pair it with our Clippings and Paper Cottage collections. Nancy says, “When I first started scrapbooking over a decade ago, the majority of my pages were double page layouts. In recent years, having shifted my focus to creating projects for various manufacturers, I have found myself not creating double page layouts nearly as often as I would like. So when I was given the assignment to create a double page layout using this versatile sketch by Susan Stringfellow, I was excited to give it a go! The sketch has three rows of banner swags. The new garland banners from the Clippings collection were perfect for this! And the best part? They were pre-strung! Just tear them from the sheet, and they are ready to go!”
