This week’s sketch was created by BG sketch artist Susan Stringfellow and is perfect for any occasion that you’re needing a card for. We love versatile sketches, don’t you?
Celebration | Keisha Campbell
BasicGrey design team member Keisha Campbell used this week’s sketch to create this gorgeous card. We love the pop of sequins that add such a festive touch! She notes, “I usually struggle with sketches, this card sketch was so easy & fast-love that! I went right with the sketch and added just the flag for my sentiment.”
Tea Time | Els Brige
BG design team member Els Brige also chose to use the same collection as Keisha for this week’s sketch but still put together a one of a kind look. Els notes, “The Paper Cottage collection is perfect for making cheerful cards. I almost exactly followed the layout of the sketch for this card, but slightly moved the center elements up a bit. I used one of the accordion stickers for the large flower element and instead of adding ribbon and a bow, I turned to this gorgeous gold chipboard ruler element, which I trimmed off with my scissors to match the size of my card. I added the chipboard banner underneath. Since I wanted this element to really hang down from the ruler, I also secured it with some dimensional adhesive to the patterned paper. The flags give the card an extra festive touch.”
Now it’s your turn! We’d love to see what you create from this week’s sketch.Leave a comment below with a link to your project and we’ll select one comment at random to receive a $10 credit to shop at basicgrey.com. Comment must be posted by August 12, 2012 at 11:59p MST.

I loved working with this sketch, we all search it sometimes way to far.
I loved the stripes on the bottom and I loved to color in my beautifull flower.
