When I’m going through fashion and interior design magazines these days, one of the things that strike me again and again, is the abundant use of bright, even neon colors. Often a pop of color is used along with some gorgeous pastels, like whites, mint, peachy tones, etc. So that’s where I went with this layout.
Giggle & Play | Els Brige
I chose to work with a pop of red and this playful picture of my girl.
I started out by adding some background stamping to my solid paper. I used the Diamond ZigZag Background cling for this, but instead of inking the entire stamp, I only applied ink to some portions. I wanted to avoid straight lines in my stamping and wasn’t looking for a clean print. The mint or blue color which is also a big hit this summer is present in different recent Basic Grey collections. I picked accents from the Picadilly, What’s Up and Plumeria collection for this layout.
The striped alphabet stickers of the PB&J collection fitted the colors and also the mood of this layout perfectly.
What a fantastic layout. Of late I have really been enjoying the bold colors-they brighten my spirits.
Love it! Really gorgeous.. Hugs Marley
