Basic Card Sketch : 7.2.12

It’s the beginning of a holiday week here in the US as we’re celebrating our independence. What better way to start things off with a BOOM than by providing you with a sketch to use for your next project.  This week’s sketch was created by BG sketch artist Susan Stringfellow and is perfect for the next time you’re needing to create a card.

Where The Wind Blows | Larissa Albernaz

We wouldn’t ask you to create something with this week’s sketch without trying it out first for ourselves would we?  I think not!  I’ve asked two of our talented design team members to use this week’s sketch as the starting point for their latest projects.

First up?  The amazing Larissa Albernaz.  Larissa says, “What an awesome sketch to use as an inspiration to create a card! So inspiring that I did not change much to make mine. I simply added pinwheels instead of flags as sugested, taking advantage of  the gorgeous and fun Konnichiwa layered stickers by Basic Grey.”

With Love | Pamela Young

Design team member Pamela Young also got creative with Susan’s sketch.  She notes, “I actually didn’t change the sketch much at all because I loved it!  And the pre-made flags made this card come together super fast!”

Now it’s your turn! We’d love to see what you create from this week’s sketch. Leave a comment below with a link to your project and we’ll select one comment at random to receive a collection pack of your choice. Comment must be posted by July 8, 2012 at 11:59p MST.

If you upload your layout to your blog or online gallery, we hope you’ll also upload it to our BasicGrey flickr pool and note what products you’ve used so that other BG fans can find inspiration from your work easily.

Will likely be again to get more. Thanks
