This week’s sketch is intended for a card design, perfect to add a few cards to your stash for the next time you need a card quick! Whether you follow it exactly as outlined or use it to create a layout or something altogether different, we hope you’ll share your project with us!
What’s Up | Larissa Albernaz
BasicGrey design team member Larissa Albernaz used this week’s sketch in combination with our What’s Up collection to create this amazing card. Larissa notes, “I created my card by using the sketch as an inspiration. It´s such an awesome sketch that I didn´t want to change much. I just turned it 90 degrees in order to create a vertical card that could match perfectly with the balloon and clouds images n my card and have added banners instead of stripes as sugested.”
Sincere Thanks | Rae Barthel
BasicGrey design team member Rae Barthel also used this week’s sketch to create a card. She says, “This sketch was fantastic to work with! I fell in love with the vertical “strips” on the bottom part of the sketch, and immediately knew which coordinating papers from the Konnichiwa collection would work perfectly for this! In using the gorgeous large flower sticker, I strayed away a bit from the original sketch, but that is what a sketch does… it serves as a guide, or a starting point, and by using the supplies you have available, you make the sketch your own.”
Now it’s your turn! We’d love to see what you create from this week’s sketch. Leave a comment below with a link to your project and we’ll select one comment at random to receive a collection pack of your choice. Comment must be posted by June 17, 2012 at 11:59p MST.

Such a lovely sketch! I went straight into my sketch collection, and I just had to scrap it! Here is my take on it, with papers from the Picadilly collection: http://scraphaiku.blogspot.se/2012/06/basic-grey-har-en-tavling-med-en.html
