Scraplift This : 5.14.12

Thanks | Joy Taylor

Today we’re sharing a card that our May BasicGrey guest designer Joy Taylor has created and asking you to Scraplift This!  We simply ask you to use Joy’s card as a jumping point for your next creation be it a card, layout, altered art – whatever!

Joy notes, “I love how the depth of colours in this collection they are so striking, not to mention one of the most loved trends right now in the scrapping industry is the use of Chevron, so when opening up this paper pad to find a beautiful deep blue chevron I knew I just had to use it on this card.  I created one of my favourite styles which is to cut V’s into ends of pattern paper and layer over each other and by adding just simple touches of more pattern paper elements and a simple sentiment I found that this card came together so quickly.  For me to create this card was a little bit of a challenge as I am one that normally incorporates stamping with pattern paper, I loved that I created a card that had literally no stamping and only elements from this collection.”

We’d love to see your scraplift of this project. Leave a comment below with a link to your project and we’ll select one commenter at random to receive a collection pack of your choice. Comment must be posted by May 20, 2012 at 11:59p MST.

If you upload your layout to your blog or online gallery, we hope you’ll also upload it to our BasicGrey flickr pool so that other BG fans can find your work easily.

Here is my card:

Had fun making it, as I always used to make cards from DP with minimal stamping and sometimes none at all! Thanks Joy for a great card to case!!

  1. Oh… such a great card, like the blues and yellows combo. I may be scraplifting this one today !!

  2. Do I have to use Basic Grey products to enter? I don’t know if I have any of your papers marked so I’ll know which is yours…

    • Hi, Sharon!

We’d like to see some BG product used in your project. :)
