CHALLENGE : Create a layout inspired by this sketch by friend of BasicGrey, Susan Stringfellow.

Wanting to insure you get at least one layout completed during National Scrapbooking Day?  No problem!  We’ve got a sketch that will have you adhering photos and papers in no time!

Waiting Game | Nancy Burke

BasicGrey design team member Nancy Burke created this vibrant layout using Susan’s sketch as a starting point. Nancy says, ”When I am short on time, I have found that the best and easiest way to get a page done quickly is to follow a sketch.  Sketches take the guesswork out of scrapbooking because the overall design is already done for you. All you have to do is simply choose your photos and fun Basic Grey papers to match.”

  6. oh this is going to be fun to watch! Love all of the pages and they are so different! GREAT Page Nancy, but I always love your work. I wish I was waiting there right now! And I may have to try a layout with this sketch today :)

  9. Let me try this again, I dont think I got it right the first time I tried. Loved this!! I really enjoy sketch challenges. I also saw Kellys challenge to use multiple title letters, so I was inspired by that as well. (Can I enter the same project in more than one challenge??)

    How suiting that my friend came to scrapbook with me on National Scrapbook Day and introduced me to the blog and the contests. I used paper from Basic Grey’s Marjolaine and Eskimo Kisses (of all things!) collections and Basic Grey buttons (Marjolaine collection too I think… I have a bunch of Basic Grey button in a cup, all mixed together !). It was actually fun to scrapbook something other than travel pictures… Thanks for this beautiful sketch.
