Happy Day | Jessy Christopher
CHALLENGE : Create a layout that includes a shape other than a square or rectangle.
Looking to create something trendy but yet a bit away from the norm for National Scrapbooking Day? This challenge is for you!
BasicGrey design team member Jessy Christopher created the fantastic layout above. She explains, ”Shapes are such a trend these days. This time, I wanted to focus on triangles. I used the Silhouette Cameo to cut out the triangles and layered it with another patterned paper at the back. The cut-out triangles I decided to use them as well to create dimension. To further enhance the focus on the triangles, I drew lines and also sew the borders of the triangles. The Konnichiwa collection has bold colors and it’s perfect to use on clean & simple layouts.”
We can’t wait to see what you create for this challenge! Leave a comment below with a link to your project and we’ll select one commenter at random to receive a $25 gift certificate to shop at basicgrey.com. Comment must be posted by May 11, 2012 at 11:59p MST.

Such a cute layout, Jessy! I used all kinds of non-rectangle/square shapes, primarily focusing on my chevron block. http://theimperfectscrapper.blogspot.com/2012/05/basicgrey-nsd-challenges.html |
