CHALLENGE : Use Hero Arts + BasicGrey product on your layout.
It’s no secret we love our friends at Hero Arts! They produce all of the amazing stamps that coordinate with each of our collections. We make quite the dynamic duo, don’t you think? Because our products work so well together, we’d love to see you combine them on your next scrapbook layout!
BasicGrey design team member Larissa Albernaz created the amazing layout above using our What’s Up collection. Larissa notes, “For this challenge I used two different stamps to decorate small squares/rectangles that I added to my page. First, I stamped the images onto Basic Grey´s patterned papers with Versamark and then hot embossed them with a heat gun and Zing Clear and Rouge embossing powder. To take advantage on the fact that the clear embossing powder act as a resist, I sprayed some glimmer mists over the image. After pasting these squares/rectangles to my layout, I added some embellishments and my photos.”
You’re Someone Very Special | Kandis Smith
We’re also excited to share with you this layout by Hero Arts designer Kandis Smith. Kandis says, “There are so many fun ways to combine Hero Arts stamps with Basic Grey papers–the patterns and themes go right together! I chose to do a layout of my sweet baby boy in the bathtub. When I saw these Lauderdale papers I thought they would go perfectly with my water theme. I added some grid stamping on the kraft background and a sweeet special sentiment on a little yellow banner. There are so many ways to play with them! I even used a leaf stamp on my bubbles–who would have thought? And I think it goes wonderfully with the page!”
We can’t wait to see what you create for this challenge! Leave a comment below with a link to your project and we’ll select one commenter at random to receive a $25 gift certificate to shop at basicgrey.com AND three stamp sets of your choice from the BasicGrey/Hero Arts collections. My take for Hero+BG challenge: I used a juge Hero Doily stamp over the page with pink pale ink and clear embossing to add an interest to my die cut from BG paper doilies.
