Thank You For Coming To My Party | Danielle Flanders
THIS WEEK’S CHALLENGE : Incorporate confetti into your design.
This week, I’ve asked our March BasicGrey guest design team member Danielle Flanders to participate in our challenge.
Danielle says, “What conveys “party” more than confetti? I took out some BasicGrey brads and my hole punchers and went to town creating a confetti feel on a little pocket card! To make the pocket, I folded a piece of vellum up and stitched the sides with a zigzag stitch with my sewing machine.Vellum is very easy to stitch. I used different sized hole punchers to create a fun confetti border on the pocket. I made a white cardstock tag to tuck inside that says, “Thank you for coming to my party!” I added some of the Plumeria papers and stickers…love the purples and oranges. I found the colors bright and happy, great for a birthday!”
We can’t wait to see what you create for this week’s challenge! Leave a comment below with a link to your project and we’ll select one commenter at random to receive a collection pack of your choice. Comment must be posted by March 22, 2012 at 11:59p MST.
I wasn’t sure about this and then I remembered that I had bought some disney confetti and had these pics of my grandkids when they had their hair done at the Disney barber shop at the Magic Kingdom. Thanks for the inspiration to do this layout.
