Barber Shop | Ann Costen
Happy Monday, BasicGrey fans! We’re happy to begin another week with you and share yet another sketch to inspire your next project. Today’s sketch is based on this layout from BasicGrey digital design team member Ann Costen using two of our digital collections.
Ann notes, “I chose the Two Scoops digital kit for this layout because the pastel colours perfectly conveyed the fairy tale fell I wanted to have for this layout. Also, the colours are soft but not overly girly, which was important because I included pictures of both my son and daughter. I used a large flourish with the layer mode set to “Overlay” to fill out some of the blank space behind the pictures. Although I consider myself to be a fairly simple scrapper, I don’t like to leave a lot of white space on my layouts!”
This week’s sketch features three photos with plenty of room for journaling, but as I always remind you, feel free to make it your own! Our sketch is simply meant to act as a starting point for your next project. Simply select your photos and let us take the guesswork out of things!
We’d love to see what you create from this week’s sketch. Leave a comment below with a link to your project and we’ll select one commenter at random to receive a collection pack of your choice. Comment must be posted by February 19, 2012 at 11:59p MST.
