Today I’m bringing you work from two of our BasicGrey digital design team members, Katherine Bley and Ann Costen. I challenged both of them to create a layout with three specific products from our digital Boxer collection : Boxer Textures, Boxer Patterned Paper and Boxer Element. They both had the option of using any other BG digital product they chose but had to include these three items in their project in some way.
Cherished | Katherine BleySUPPLIES : [BOXER] BOX-D906 Boxer Starter Kit, BOX-D907 Boxer Patterns, BOX-D908 Boxer Textures, BOX-D910 Boxer Borders [LAUDERDALE] LAU-D937 Lauderdale Element [SUBLIME] ACS-D231 Sublime Notes.
Katherine notes, “I was really excited when I learned that my blog assignment this month was Boxer. And because this assignment had required elements, I decided to use those required elements as the source of my inspiration. After I had selected and processed a photo of my gorgeous little granddaughter, I chose several papers and elements from the Boxer collection that coordinated well with the required elements and built my layout. And because the BasicGrey collections coordinate so well each another, I threw in a little Lauderdale and Sublime too.”

Ann says, “The colours in the Boxer collection are absolutely perfect for boy pages! I was able to use several of the patterned papers by layering them in stripes at the bottom (placed slightly askew for more visual interest). The textures were used behind the picture and to fill out the blank space on the right side of the cream paper.”
Thanks for the inspiration Katherine and Ann! It’s always fun to see what two designers create when given the same product to work with.
