Guest Designer | Virginia Nebel

We are thrilled to have the talented Virginia Nebel as our guest designer for November!

A little bit about me, I reside in Ontario, Canada with my wonderfully supportive hubby raising our beautiful daughter. I have been an avid paper crafter for over 10 years and still get giddy playing with paper, scissor and a little glue! My scrapbooking style is clean and simple infused with layers of whimsy and fun. I love to share my passion for the paper arts and teach both scrapbooking and cards workshops at local stores and conventions. I currently design for Scrapbook and Cards Today and PageMaps.

I really enjoyed working with the new Vivienne collection by BasicGrey and loved creating these layouts and cards.

Virginia, thank you so much for sharing your incredible talent and creativity with us! Before you go, we’d like to ask you the BG Baker’s Dozen:

Favorite color:  Blue, especially the lighter hues of the blue spectrum.

Buttons or brads: Brads, they’ve come a long way from just the little dot version.  Plus I have a little crush on  ‘Brad’ley Cooper!

Dr. Phil or Dr. Oz: Dr.Oz, always looking for ways to live a healthier lifestyle.

Dots or stripes: Tough one but if I have to choose it would be stripes but never horizontal strips when making clothing choices, ha!

Mac or PC: Mac- I a mom to a tween so we just converted to Macs after being a long time PC family.  I use to boast that I could program in DOS (insert eye roll from said tween).

Ribbon or twine: Twine, brings back the nostalgia of visiting the bakery and leaving with a twine-wrapped box of pastries.

Ninjas or pirates: Ninjas, love action-packed kung-fu and karate movies.

Google or Yahoo: Google, I look forward to their themed and seasonal graphics!

Sweet or salty: I have to say BOTH!  salted caramel macaroons are my favorite heavenly dessert!

Chipboard or wood veneer: Chipboard, love the possibilities to glitter, paint and stamp them.

Mountains or beach: Beach, not living on either coast , I treasure any opportunity to sit on the beach, gaze out at the water and daydream!

Dog or cat: Dog, unfortunately my allergies to cats have given me no choice here.

Cake or pie: Pie and A la mode!
