This week, we’re thrilled to be partnering with our friends at Core’dinations Cardstock so share a new project each day created with their ColorCore Cardstock and our BasicGrey product. A perfect match! Core’dinations manufactures two packs – Whimsy and Ornate – of their Core Impressions product which marries their cardstock with some of your favorite BasicGrey designs.

For today’s project, BasicGrey design team member Layle Koncar created this “Lesson Learned” layout combining BasicGrey product and Core’dinations Cardstock.
Layle says, “I love happy accidents! I’d decided on this piece of Core’dinations cardstock as the starting point of my layout because I love the color and the circles. I knew I wanted to sand it to reveal the lighter core, so I started there. As I was wracking my brain on what photo to use for the layout, my 10 year old Sam was going through some photos my Dad recently sent me of my grandparents. He handed this one to me and said, ‘Mom, what about this picture?’. Bingo – problem solved! The green in my grandma’s dress matched the green of the cardstock perfectly! I pulled in some green and yellow from the Picadilly 6×6 pad and mixed in some stickers and brads from Origins – I love that BasicGrey collections can be so easily mixed and matched together. Say… wouldn’t that pattern on my grandma’s dress make a GREAT scrapbook paper?!!”
What would a blog hop be without a chance to win something, right? How about a chance to win some BasicGrey product of your own?
