Kelly Rasmussen: I just love the look of Candy Buttons scattered over a project. Those little pops of glossy color ended up being the perfect finishing touch to this card. And I tucked a few part way under the raised panel for a little added interest.

Marinette: I’ve always loved to using brads on my creations, so when BasicGrey created Candy Buttons, I was immediately in love with them. They’re so easy to use and the colors are just so gorgeous! On this layout, I added some Candy Buttons with different sizes on a vertical line to highlight my title.

Kelly Noel: BasicGrey’s Candy Dots are one of my very favorite products! I can’t seem to get enough of them and use them on nearly every layout these days. There are so many fun things you can do with them, but for this layout I just created a simple border using different colors and sizes of the dots.

Kelly: One of my very favorite new BasicGrey products are the wood veneer pieces from the Hipster collection. My favorite thing about them is the ability to customize them to suit your layout. For this layout, I just used different colored chalk inks to “color” the veneer words for my title. It was super quick and easy to do and the result is an eye catching title that matches the papers. The possibilities are endless with these veneers, you could stamp on them, emboss them, paint them or just leave them plain. They look great on any project!

Let us know what words you would love to see included in future releases and we will pick a winner from the comments to win a set of Hipster papers and wood veneers.

Hipster Metal Tabs | Marinette Lesne

Product Spotlight

Our second Product Spotlight project today is a dynamic layout by Marinette Lesne that shows just how well the metal tabs from Hipster and the brass stars from our Basics play together. I love the way she uses both products in unexpected ways to showcase their respective textures + dimensions. Well done!

Marinette: Hello BasicGrey friends! I’m here today to share with you a layout made with the gorgeous Hipster line. I love how well those Metal Studs coordinate with the tones from the Hipster papers.

To create this layout, I drew a circle with my stencil and then added some brass stars in different sizes. I love the way it adds movement and direction to my layout.
